Dear Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you and your children to Old Bethpage Elementary School!  Whether your family is joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are so pleased to have you as part of our OBE family.

Our mission is to provide a nurturing and challenging environment where every child feels safe, loved, supported, and inspired to learn. Our dedicated faculty and staff work each day to build strong relationships, foster curiosity, and create engaging experiences that help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

From the first days of school, students are encouraged to build friendships, explore new ideas, and develop the routines and habits that will support their success throughout their school career. In addition to our core academics, children participate in a full cycle of special area classes, including art, music, physical education, library, and Chinese. Our kindergarten and first grade students participate in play space and free play specials where they work on communication with peers, collaboration, socialization skills and problem solving. These opportunities enrich their learning and provide space for creativity, movement, and self-expression.

We value the important partnership between home and school. Families play a vital role in student success, and we look forward to working together to ensure that each child has the best possible educational experience. Please join our fabulous PTA!  They provide so much for our children and the families and staff of Old Bethpage!.

We want our students to be confident, curious, creative, respectful, and empathetic learners who are ready to make a positive difference.  We look forward to a school year filled with discovery, growth, and joyful learning for every student.
